· Chamber Bucks can be purchased from the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, MM 31 by any individual or business.
· They come in increments of $10 ~ $25 ~ $50 · They are checks drawn on a dedicated checking account; the funds are guaranteed. Like any check, they expire after 6 months of issuing.
· Chamber Bucks can only be redeemed (spent) at participating Chamber member businesses
· An updated list of participating members will accompany each Bucks purchase.
· If a member does NOT wish to accept Chamber Bucks, they should let us know immediately.
· If the person spending the Chamber Buck buys an item less than the face amount of the check, change must be given to the customer, since the business will deposit and receive the full face value of the check.
· The “Pay To” line is deliberately left blank, so the check holder can write the check out to the business from whom they are purchasing items.
· If a business allows their Chamber membership to lapse, they are no longer eligible to redeem Chamber Bucks and their name will be removed from the list of businesses given to purchasers.
· Small laminated “cards” are available to post at your registers to remind your associates how to process the Bucks.

Sandra Gordon American Cancer Society
1010 Kennedy Dr., Suite 303 Key West, FL 33040

While the American Cancer Society has always been known for investing in live-saving cancer research, we also provide much-needed services to cancer patients and their caregivers. Our Road to Recovery Program takes cancer patients to their treatments, both in town and to the Mainland by trained volunteers. In cases where patients may have to stay overnight for treatments away from home for an extended period, there are programs with hotels that provide free or discounted stays, or an American Cancer Society Hope Lodge. There are currently 30 Hope Lodges across the country, including three in Florida (Gainesville, Tampa and one soon to be open in Jacksonville), which offer cancer patients and their caregivers a free place to stay when their best hope for effective treatment may be in another city. The National Cancer Information Center (NCIC) provides information and support to those facing cancer 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Trained cancer information specialists are available via phone, or live chat, providing accurate, up to date cancer information to patients, family members, and caregivers and connecting them with valuable services and resources in their communities. In addition, our website, cancer.org, is full of related information and helps connect those in need of our services with local offices or a Cancer Information Specialist. Your local office on Kennedy Blvd. here in Key West offers a Cancer Resource Center where we provide free wigs, bras, scarves, hats, educational materials, and assistance in registering for other American Cancer Society services. Funds are raised through three signature events: Relay For Life (held in Key West, Marathon, and the Upper Keys), Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (held in Key West and Marathon), and the Diamond Gala of the Keys. We are available to attend or provide materials for health fairs, staff meetings, and wellness programs. Please contact our National Cancer Information Center at 1-800-227-2345 for more information about local programs, rides and cancer support for patients and families or your local office at 305-292-2333, Monday Friday from 9AM 5PM to volunteer or support a local event or to schedule an appointment with the Cancer Resource Center.
